Watch here for news about the Peregrine Falcons in Kalamazoo.
Every year fledging week is tense, crazy, and very busy. Each year is a bit different, but this year really gave us some surprises.
Fledging has started.
No flying yet.
What a mess!
The Peregrine chicks were banded today by Michigan DNR biologists, Don Poppe and Nik Kalejs.
Food fights at breakfast.
The chicks are thriving and getting bigger.
All four chicks are active and doing well.
All four eggs have hatched in successive days (April 25, 26, 27, and 28).
The first chick hatched this morning shortly after 6AM.
What day will the eggs hatch??
The days are getting longer and sometimes warmer.
